Punk is, and was always, a reaction to societal norms and conventions. It has the tendency to be in your face and crass, but this was a way of hitting back at people refusing to turn and look.

Our scene should not - and should never be - a place to exclude others. No joke or word is worth harming members of our community.

We evolve. We move on. At all times we have to stand together and pick each other up. This genre is all about doing it yourself, no matter your skill level. It should be passion before fashion. We all like it hard, fast and loud.

And in the end, no matter what, they're all just four chord punk songs.
